ROBERT ZALOGA

Robert Zaloga is a dancer, director, choreographer, and social media strategist. His story begins in 2013 when he joined the school of the Scranton Civic Ballet Company to begin his formal dance training under Helen Gaus. Zaloga entered the main company in 2014 and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a Principal Dancer one year later. 

 

He holds an extensive repertory of classical and originated principal roles including Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, Solar in La Bayadère, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, Franz in Coppélia, Basilio in Don Quixote Divertissement, Prince Desiré in The Sleeping Beauty, Ali in Le Corsaire, Lucien in Paquita, Prince Charming in Cinderella, El Capitan in Helen Gaus’ Stars and Stripes, Pinocchio in Pinocchio, Principal Pas de Deux in Amour et Printemps, Beauty and the Beast, Serenade for Strings, Viennese Waltz, Midnight Masquerade, Appalachian Springs, La Boutique Fantasque, Heartland, Tarantella, Wunderbar, Invitation to the Dance, Lovely Day to Dance, The Nutcracker Prince, Cavalier, Coffee, Waltz of the Flowers Pas de Deux, and Snow King in Helen Gaus’ The Nutcracker.

 

Zaloga has trained with some of the nation’s foremost companies and schools, including American Ballet Theatre in New York City, Boston Ballet School, School of Pennsylvania Ballet, Walnut Hill School for the Arts, and the Performing Arts Institute. His instructors and mentors have included esteemed figures such as Sascha Radetsky, Ethan Stiefel, Stella Abrera, Charles Askeguard, Margaret Tracey, Peter Stark, Michael Owen, Russell Clarke, Barbara Weisberger, and more.

 

In August of 2020, he was named Assistant Artistic Director of the Scranton Civic Ballet Company. His choreographic credits with the company include Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, La Bayadère, Paquita, Romeo and Juliet, Don Quixote Divertissement, Wicked Pas de Deux, Cinderella, and Something To Believe In Pas de Deux. 

 

In May of 2025, Zaloga graduated from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Media Strategies. Beyond his artistic career, Zaloga has cultivated a multifaceted professional path across creative, digital, and media-driven fields. With formal training in social media and digital communication, he has managed online presence and marketing for a variety of local businesses, spanning food and beverage, fashion, and the performing arts. His creative work extends into photography, where he has captured everything from ballet and performance imagery to fashion, event portraiture, and editorial-style projects. Zaloga has also designed billboards, print materials, websites, television commercials, and radio ads. His evolution reflects a dynamic blend of artistry, strategy, and visual storytelling that informs all aspects of his work both on and off the stage.
